Louise Manthorpe
Founder & Director
Louise brings more than 25 years' experience working with sensitive information across Local Authorities, Children's Services and education
Her career began with Norfolk County Council in 2001, supporting Children's Services teams and residential homes, before moving to Surrey County Council, where she managed the Information Governance team. Her work included responsibility for the trial and implementation of the National Police Disclosure Protocol, alongside training for police officers, social workers, health professionals and school staff
Louise later specialised in school data protection at Tower Hamlets before becoming an independent consultant, supporting schools with Data Protection and Information Governance and Children's Services departments with specialist redaction and disclosure work.
Her particular experience includes the careful review of complex and historical Social Care records, where context, professional judgement and an understanding of Children's Services practice are essential to achieving a clear and proportionate disclosure

Disclosure During IICSA
Complex disclosure work
From 2015, working within a London Local Authority included acting as a primary disclosure officer during IICSA, reviewing and preparing highly sensitive information for disclosure.
Information Governance
A specialist focus
Moving solely into Information Governance provided specialist experience in data protection, disclosure and information handling, including involvement in the trial of a Disclosure Protocol with the Police.
